I hated Michael Buble growing up. I thought he was over-rated and he sounded nasal! However, the older I got, the stronger my inner 80-year old became! Today, I absolutely adore him! Let me capitalise this, I ADORE him!! He is a kind human being and a rare gentleman breed. I still think he isn't the greatest singer in the world, but he knows what and how to sing to the greatest of his ability and he is one heck of an entertainer! One excellent entertainer!
I hadn't booked a ticket to see him in advance. I had thought I should pass on this one. But November began and I heard his dates were selling out like hot bread. Christmas was just around the corner and Mr Christmas was coming to town. I couldn't resist. I bought my ticket mid November - it was a hefty price to pay! But I didn't regret it!

Actually after the end of the show, I thought I didn't pay enough! The amount of work and the number of people to create such a show is tremendous! He has an exceptional orchestra! And it seemed he knew that, and he respected his musicians.
He intertwined family stories with his music making the show personal and personable. He also said how we decided how much money he would spend on his wife's Christmas present! He said, he put money on the side every time they got intimate! He stated he only saved a couple of bucks! haha!! |
One of the funnest things he did was that he would take fans' mobile phones and take selfies! One girl had a friend on a video call and he took the phone and serenaded to the friend! He is such a great guy!! He also allowed fans to sing! He just gave them the microphone and sang a duet with them! Whichever song the fan requested!!
I thoroughly enjoyed the night. It was one of those concerts that you don't want it to end! It was also a very cheerful one. I may had been because it was Christmas, but he has an optimistic disposition that helps. Some who attended have uploaded videos on Youtube from his Nottingham shows.
